Welcome to ExxonMobil’s Baytown area facilities.
The Baytown area is home to several of ExxonMobil’s integrated sites, which includes the Baytown Refinery, Baytown Chemical Plant, Baytown Olefins Plant, Mont Belvieu Plastics Plant, Americas Area Engineering Office and Baytown Technology & Engineering Complex. While ExxonMobil is part of a global industry and operates facilities around the world, we’re proud to call the Baytown area home. We’ve been part of the Baytown area community since 1919 and are celebrating our 90th anniversary of operations in 2010.
The ExxonMobil Baytown Area is the largest petroleum & petrochemical complex in the United States. Our sites in the Baytown area are highly integrated – working together to make our plants and our products more efficient.
Although it may not be evident from the expansive operations you see on-site today, one might say that the ExxonMobil Baytown Area came from “humble beginnings."
We are more than near neighbors to our community, its residents and businesses – we are community partners because the Baytown area is our home too.

Our goal is to achieve excellent environmental performance, and it is our policy to conduct our business in a manner that is compatible with the balanced environmental and economic needs of the communities in which we operate.
We conduct routine tests of our emergency notification equipment, simulate emergency situations and rigorously train our team of emergency responders.
We are working around the clock, 365 days a year, to ensure that we meet the demands of our customers and our commitment of safety and partnership to our local Baytown and Mont Belvieu communities.
